Unfortunately there is not enough space for everyone in the competition. Rules for entry have been applied through the same methods in each division based upon primary living residence in proximity to Rincon aka " The Ripple Effect", date and time of entry, as well as participation in the event in the past. If you are not registered in the main event and are listed as an alternate and wish to receive a refund please email chris@surfhappens.com.

If you are unable to attend any of the weekends within the waiting period you must notify us within 7 days of each weekend to qualify for a refund. Thank you to all of the contestants that have let us know weeks they can’t make it. We keep those in the main event in the contest unless we run on a weekend that they have alerted us in advance that they cannot attend.

If you are an alternate and wish to stay in the event you must show up on the beach and check in with the Beach Marshall 1 hour prior to your division starting. If you get into the event prior to the event running we will contact you via email and add you to the main event. If you are an alternate and wish to receive a refund and be taken off of the alternate list you must notify us 7 days prior to each waiting weekend.
