EVENT STATUS UPDATE

NOT RUNNING JAN 31-FEB 1: YELLOW ALERT FOR FEB 7/8

The Rincon Classic will not be running January 31–February 1.

Since making the call on Wednesday, the forecast has shifted. Based on the most current information, conditions now appear inconsistent and potentially unrideable for portions of the window.

In alignment with Channel Islands Surfboards and the Rincon Classic Board of Directors, the event has been returned to Yellow Alert in order to protect the integrity of the surf and the quality of the competition.

The Rincon Classic exists to be run at Rincon at her best. We will continue monitoring conditions closely and will make the next official call Wednesday, February 4 at 5:00 PM.
